Welcome to Skua's Travels!

Skua is not only a type of large bird that lives in the North Atlantic and steals food from other birds, she is also a 1990 Island Packet 32 sailboat hailing from Essex, Connecticut. She was a single-owner cutter until September, 2014, when the original owners decided they could no longer handle her and we became her new caretakers. She was in very rough shape aesthetically and continues to be a work-in-progress (as is typical with any boat) but is as solid as the day she left the Largo factory. She is being restored to her original glory and is an absolute delight to sail, when the wind and tide are favorable.
